Golf carts really are a way of life here on Ambergris Caye and we got to see a whole lot of the island today. We went up north to the bridge (found the blind man selling tortilla - for a blind man he really gets around, north side, south side and downtown!) found a good bakery with ham and cheese somethings....turnovers? calzones? rolls? they were good. They also had buns, cinnamon buns and a cinnamon bread that you buy chunks of.
The west side was impoverished - hard to believe that people live like that.
The south east was more resorts and then undeveloped land. The dump is out that way too.
The golf cart tour really gave us a better feel for the island.
