Kealia Beach. Lots of surfers in the water waiting for that just right wave. And their girls on the beach, coming into the water once in a while to cool off. This is where we parked the car. There are lots of people on this beach...we kept walking.

This is Donkey Beach, the kind of beach we like to go to. There was one surfer, two people walked by and when we left there were 4 other people on the whole beach, plus 5 surfers...that's it.

At the edge of the water were a pile of large black rocks. I walked over there and saw a whole flock (don't know what you call a group a crabs) of black crabs about 4-5 inches wide. They were scurring away from me and to my amazement..they jumped. It was like Jumangi or someother freakie movie. I'm sure glad they were going away from me...I thought of Chad.

Yesterday being the 31st of January was a beautiful day. We walked to a beach called Donkey Beach. It used to be known as a nudest beach, but with delevopment and more people around that is not the case anymore. While walking there it rained on us and as we came to the beach the rain stopped and the sun came out. It was gorgeous. We layed on the beach and read books. When we got too warm we got into the water. Very refershing. This beach is at least 1/2 mile long. The most inspiring thing was the whales. There were several whales that were close to shore...unusually close, just playing. back and forth, in and out of the water. It was cool.... As we ended our beach time and started to walk to the car...about a mile and a half away we continued to watch the whales. Lots of them and were they active. One group of whales was constantly breaching (coming out of the water). We watched as several whales would flop their tails up and out of the water and then slap the water with them....hugh splashes...hugh tails. Their was a small boat out there close to where all the action was happening and the boat was smaller than the tail of the whales. This slapping was going on and on. It must of went on for a good 20 minutes. We have seen all kinds of wild life. Its been fun
