roads???

Out behind our resort the road changes from divided highway and we have only seen one vehicle, a 4-wheeler with tracs - going down it....not a single other vehicle.



The beach really is the main road on the island. We were driving the golf cart down the road which ended up being right on the beach and this truck delivering rebar came driving by. The rebar was secured on the front bumper and on the top rack at the rear of the cab and loose on the back but I'm sure that the three guys standing on the back would have redirected it if it tried to fall off. There have seen lots of non-osha standard working conditions...tree branches for scaffolding, painting standing out on a ledge...more...

Not sure if I really want to post this one...it's kinda tackie...

Tourists that aren't even drunk...

I think that the guys on the dock get bored sometimes and see what they can get tourists to do...





No really, because there are regular fish (you know fish shaped and all) needle fish, (you know long pencil pointed nose fish) striped fish, eels, stingrays and lobsters all hanging out under the dock. We had to look thru the boards to see the lobsters...really.

No tide involved....we were watchin dolphins swim by this morning. No picture because really, the just don't cooperate.



Toyke has threatened to jump off the end of the dock but we haven't seen it happen yet...

Thunderstorms???

Heard that there were thunder storms here...looked out the window and this is what I saw...






If this is thunderstorms...bring it on!

The Palapa Bar and Grill. Yup, they do have the best pulled pork sandwich (or was that pulled beef?) on the island. It was so good we're going to have to go back and try some more!

Iguanas! They're gona getcha!

In the bike shed are the iguanas!
They live in the rafters.
There are about 6 or more hanging around in there and it's a little freakie...of course as we were going into the shed Dan has to do the old grab/scare to me!!! Thanks big Bro!
Toyke was the brave one and reached up with the serving fork and fed the monster some pineapple...it ate it! It was a little creepie but we did it. (notice I said we...Dan and I are definitely off to the side!)
