Departure time is????

Jack and Liz packed up and we had our last dinner at Dukes in Lihue and they were ready to go. We took them to the airport and did our good-byes, hug hug, smoochie and all that stuff. About 10 minutes later, we're not even 1/2 way back home and the phone rings. Jack says to come back and get them...yeah right, kidding of course because who really wants to leave paradise? Nope, not kidding...they couldn't check in because they were too early...how about 24 hours too early! Practice run.

So what do you do when you have an extra day in Hawaii....

4 Wheel ATV Time

Today we enjoyed a day on 4-wheelers. Jack and Liz, then Lisette and I. It was great fun. And once again we saw a part of the Island we hadn't seen before.

Here is a swimming hole that nobody swam in. Lisette is cleaning off the mud she got all over her shoes and legs....or so she thought because when we got home and after a shower the mud was still there...the evidence was on the towel

Jack and Liz

Toyke and Lisette

Shes trying to kill me. It doesn't look so bad but whats infront of us says....Toyke you drive...I kept quiet and Lisette did a great job

We started the trip by practising in a confined area to see if the drivers were capable to do the trip. 2 people failed and had to ride as passengers with on of the staff. Good thing too as they were REAL BAAAAD. Jack drove and Lisette drove. I was a little nervous to start, but as we went along Lisette became more confident and tried all day to get me totally drenced in mud. The kind of mud that doesn't wash off easily. (more on that later)

I keep trying to rotate this picture but it always returns to the same sideways shot.

Great Fun

Hamura Saimin The Noodle Place

We have come to this place a number of times. Its a hole in the wall place....You have to wait to get a seat most times and the prices are great.
Food choices are few, but the food is good.

A DAY ON THE BEACH

Tuesday we went to the beach near Barking Sands Missile Range. The sun was warm....but the wind was blowing. I'm not sure that we have ever made it to this beach without the wind blowing.

And you find sand everywhere....places you don't want it. But we had fun

New Moon Rising...

Mr High-Maintenance...where are you?
No only did we find a beautiful moon shining down on the ocean on Sunday night...

But we had a fantastic sunrise with the big thunderball coming out of the ocean, no clouds...

And then...last night a wonderful moonrise straight out of the black ocean, Wow...it was beautiful.

CRAB ANYONE

Out on our beach there are little crabs that dig holes in the sand. They disappear into their hole and then come back out with a claw full of sand and chuck it away! It's pretty cool to watch them do their little routine. When they stop they disappear into the back ground...pretty cool little animals.
